When
building an irradiator it is vital that
cobalt-60 is available to load when the
facility is complete. Powerplus Systems

arrange the first cobalt-60 loading with
a third party, or Powerplus have negotiated
an agreement for the supply of cobalt-60
from one of the worlds most respected cobalt-60
source manufacturers.

Power
transmission:
Hydraulic
cylinders mounted outside the cell provide
the motion in the cell via push rods which
travel through the biological shield.
Maintenance:
With
all the drive cylinders mounted outside
the cell the amount of maintenance required
is minimal. With the rollers fitted to the
carriers and not in track form within the
cell, routine maintenance is carried out
without the need to stop the facility.
